See your Security score and find weak, reused, old, and duplicate passwords to fix.
Password health scores your vault and points out passwords worth improving. In the web vault you see a Security score out of 100 and category cards:
- Weak passwords — rated Very weak or Weak.
- Reused passwords — how many passwords are used on more than one item.
- Old passwords — unchanged for more than 180 days.
- Duplicates — how many items share a password with another item.
- Open Password health under Tools (web vault), or the Health tab in the extension (Health in the mobile app, coming soon).
- Select an at-risk item, generate a new strong password, and save it.
- Update the password on the actual website too, then re-check.
Tip
Weak, reused, and old checks run on your device. Breached password checking (on by default; Settings, then Notifications) also checks your passwords against known data breaches and flags any it finds in your security recommendations. It uses k-anonymity: only the first 5 characters of a hash leave your device.
