Create strong passwords — random characters everywhere, plus Memorable password and PIN types in the web vault and mobile app.
In the extension and web vault
Both make random-character passwords: set the length and toggle uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols, then refresh and copy. In the extension the length ranges 6–32 (default 16, symbols off). The web vault's Password generator (under Tools) allows 8–64 (default 16, symbols on) and also has Memorable password and PIN types.
On mobile (coming soon)
- Random password — length 8–64 (default 16), with symbols/uppercase/numbers/lowercase toggles.
- Memorable password — a few easy-to-type words (3–8, default 4), with options to capitalize, add numbers, and use random separators.
- PIN — digits only (4–12, default 6).
Tip
The extension clears a copied password from the clipboard after 60 seconds (the mobile app after 30); the web vault doesn't, so clear it yourself. There isn't an “exclude ambiguous characters” option.
