Notification preferences

Choose which security recommendations you see, and whether product updates reach your notification center.
Open Settings, then Notifications. Security recommendations sets each category to All recommendations, Critical only, or Off (Customize picks individual ones), and turns Breached password checking on or off.
Below it, the Notification preferences section (it's also in Settings, then Accounts) has:
- Security alerts — critical account security notices (always on).
- Product updates — new features and improvements, shown in your notification center.
Tip
Changes take effect immediately. Security alerts can't be turned off. Choices for sign-in, new device, and password health alerts, and for marketing email, are coming later.
